In preparation for the 5A state championship football game, the Notre Dame Preparatory High School coaching staff began installing the game plan for the contest, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2 at Arizona Stadium on the University of Arizona campus in Tucson.

The undefeated Saints (13-0) take on Centennial High School (11-1) from Peoria.  Head coach George Prelock and his assistant coaches are using game film of the Coyotes’ defense to choose the most effective running and passing plays.

NDP’s versatile attack features the passing and running skills of quarterback Kylan Weisser (1,817 yards passing and 333 yards rushing), the receiving and running expertise of Jake Smith (exactly 951 yards in each area), the power running of Cole Fisher (1,234 yards, including 20 touchdowns), and the receiving talents of Blake Storey (25 catches for 400 yards), behind a powerful and effective offensive line.

The main focus of the NDP defense is slowing Centennial running back Zidane Thomas, who racked up 1,841 yards (averaging 9.7 yards per carry), while producing 24 touchdowns.
