Hoebing best of show

Senior Chereia Hoebing was named best in show when the Fine Arts Department hosted the fifth annual Vi at Silverstone Art Show March 27. Performing art students entertained during the event.

In addition to Hoebing’s work titled “In the Field,” the other award recipients were as follows:

Digital Photography: “Lion” by Jenna Mateo

Drawing: “Emma Watson” by Gabi Johnson
Painting: “Sunday Morning” by Mallory Walker

3D Art & Design: “Retro ‘Spress Yo’Self by Tara Murnin

3D Printing: “ Fleur De Lis” by Daniel Dougherty

Ceramics: “Zebra” by Katie Bussoletti

Digital Design: “Penguin Rockers” by Gianna Iorio

The art was on display the week leading up to the show.

The residents had the opportunity to vote on the winners for each individual category, whereas Tricia Loscher, a curator at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, selected the best in show.
