Nike takeover

Seniors: hold onto your polos after graduation; underclassmen: buddy up with a few seniors.  In the school’s transition from Dennis Uniform to Nike for the uniform shirt, it seems the cotton polo is becoming a rare commodity.

NDP’s traditional cotton polos are no longer sold at Dennis Uniform or at used uniform sales.  Dean of Students Carl Hess confirmed that the plan is indeed to phase them out entirely and to replace them with dry-fit Nike brand polos. He attributes this switch to the “rebranding” that often occurs as schools “change and grow.”

Nevertheless, 71 percent of polled students prefer the old-fashioned cotton polos.  Thus, the only method left for these students to acquire their desired apparel is through the ole hand-me-down system.
