With a pirate theme this year, the NDP tradition of hosting HopeKids Day will continue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.

A day meant to give families who have kids with terminal illnesses the chance to have a fun-filled time, it includes carnival-type activities, games and food.

Senior Danielle Kalil, a HopeKids committee member, said, “The HopeKids committee is working hard and diligently to create fun activities to get the kids involved and help them have another amazing experience at NDP.”

Kalil added that student volunteers better be ready to bring out their best eye patches and boot legs. Sign-up for this event can be found on x2vol for the chance to receive Christian service hours.

The day is made possible through students and teachers volunteering their time and through many donations from various places.
